All of my classes are suitable for beginners as I break down the very basics including blending, shading, lighsource, and tthe why behind each technique. You don't need to start wittht any particular lesson - just jump on in with one that catches your eye! I will note that as I have been teaching our classes for 10 years, I do feel our most recent classes are the most beginner friendly though as I have evolved my teaching style to best suit all levels and pay a lot of care to ensure the classes are easy to understand and translate for someone just starting out. But remember! Classes SHOULD challenge you. They are your opportunity to learn new things, and with that comes challenge and going outside of your comfort zone - this is a great thing! It means you've pinpointed exactly what we need to work on to help you grow to the next level. Ensure you take any pressure off - we aren't about perfect, but rather progress. And ensure you always use the free private tutoring that comes with your classes if you ever get stuck :) Let's get you feeling the most confident with your colouring!

Current monthly class projects come with free images. From time to time and in the past, Kit and Clowder may have worked with other artists to create classes using their images to expose students to a wider variety of styles. In this case, it is noted on the sign up page if the image (Stamp) is included or not. Rather than adding the stamp price on, Kit and Clowder will send you directly to the artist to purchase the image (allowing the artist to be paid clearly and transparently for their work). Companies provide a 50% off coupon for class members to purchase the image for a small price.

As I am located in Australia, our class prices are listed in AUD. You can use the currency converter at the top of the page to see the price in your local currency. Paypal will automatically convert your local currency to AUD upon payment. Please note that AUD is not equal to other currencies - for example, the price is a lot lower in USD or GBP (eg. $20 AU is approx. $13 USD or 11 GBP). I've paid for one of your classes, what happens now? All classes are sent manually so please allow up to 12 hours delivery time. I am usually very quick but do live in Australia so this may impact when you receive the class. Technique Classes are loaded manually on your account and can be accessed via the CLASS ROOM tab in the menu bar at the top of the page. If you haven't yet made an account, you can click the CLASS ROOM tab now and make one! If you don't have an account at the time of processing, you will be sent an invite to make one. Once you receive the invite, go in to make an account and attach the class to it. Monthly Classes are manually emailed directly to you so you can easily find and use your classes. If you cannot locate your class email in your email inbox after 12 hours, please check your Junk/Spam folder and Deleted folder. When checking, please use your actual email provider website (eg. Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.), rather than a mail app like Outlook, Apple Mail, Phone, or Tablet as these can block spam messages. If you have a Gmail account, please check the Promotions and Social folders also found on the Gmail website. If you still cannot locate your class after 12 hours, please email alyce@kitandclowder.com for assistance as there may have been a problem processing.

All postage on physical products is free worldwide. This is standard international shipping. Please note that standard international shipping, no matter where you send from or to worlwide, is 2-4 weeks (increased to 4-8 weeks during holiday periods) weeks as recommended by all postal outlets. Please note that due to Covid additional delays may be expected. If you haven't received after four weeks of the shipping time (not the order time) please contact me at alyce@kitandclowder.com so I can look into your order. All orders ship within 1-3 days unless specified otherwise on the product listing page. I do not usually send a confirmation email after shipping - I will only notify you if something has gone wrong and your order hasn't shipped in the specified timeframe. This is noted on the product purchase page aswell. If you require express postage, please enquire for options.

Absolutely not! Our classes, even our Monthly Classes, are all complete at your own pace as I know how hard it can be to stick to a time frame when life is happening in the background. Be assured that once you purchase any of our classes (even our monthly classes) that you will have access to this material forever. There is also no time limit on our one on one feedback in the classroom, so whenever you are ready please just say hi and upload your work :)

We cover a wide range of brands and you do not need to have a full collection of markers or pencils to join in with our classes. In our Markers classes we cover Copic, Spectrum Noir, and Promarker (Ohuhu will also be covered in any classes released from Dec 2023), and in our Pencils classes we cover Prismacolor, Spectrum Noir, and Polychromos. We cover a wider selection in our Monthly Classes including Copic, Spectrum Noir, Promarker, Graph It, Mepxy, Prismacolor, Polychromos, Derwent Artist, Derwent Colorsoft, Caran D'ache Luminance, and Lyra Rembrandt. If you don't have these brands, you can still learn from our classes with your favourite blends. Techniques do not change if colours do and I am always available to help with colour selection and alternatives if you don't have a large stash of supplies or prefer different colours. With any website there will be a small learning curve if you aren't familiar with working online. Our monthly classes are just emailed to you directly so are super easy to use - just hop on to your email account, and read through to find all of the information including the video and booklet buttons! Free classes are held on a platform called Ning, with each class having it's own group. From here you can either view the material easily online or print/download to your computer. If you get stuck we are more than happy to help to make sure you feel comfortable with the process :)

Yes - all of our class material is fully downloadable for you to keep and access at your own pace.

When you purchase a class you purchase a personal license for you only to use it. Sharing the material is illegal and is stealing. So much work goes into our classes to give you the best material available so we would appreciate your honesty with this. All IP addresses are recorded and checked for stealing; if you are caught stealing your class access will be revoked without refund and you will be removed from any of our community groups.

Your level of involvement with the classes is totally up to you. I do recommend that you upload your colouring so that we can work together to make sure that you understand everything, however it is not necessary to complete the class. If you feel nervous or that your work isn't good enough, please remember that we all start in exactly the same place :) We are here to help and not judge.. this is a supportive environment that you can feel safe in :)

Absolutely! Our classes are designed to teach you to feel confident in your colouring. If you choose to teach live classes with your colouring skills then congratulations! I do however ask that you please do not reproduce in any way the material that is included with our classes without prior permission. You are welcome to contact me any time and we can talk about how to create some class material for you. Please note that our classes are not a starting point to be used for creating your own online colouring classes. If you love our classes please consider sending people back to us as we put in so much work to bring these classes to you and hope to continue to do so :) Thank you!

We have a really broad range of classes available, ranging from as little as $5 up to $70. Don't forget that is in Australian Dollars, which is much lower in most overseas currencies, including USD and GBP. For the local currency exchange rate, please visit a currency converter such as www.xe.com It is really important to understand what you get in each class. For example, a $70 AUD Technique class will come with a minimum of 20 Video Tutorial equalling many hours of colouring time, PLUS one on one daily feedback with an instructor to ensure you get assistance with your colouring rather than trying to work it out on your own. If you are comparing us to other classes please make sure you look at how many hours of video and pages of material are included, any additional features, and then the currency conversion. You will see we are very very competitive based on this, plus couple with our free private tutoring we give a very holistic and helpful learning environment unique to Kit and Clowder :)

Kit and Clowder uses all different stamp companies in their classes. You'd have to check the angel policy of each stamp brand if you want to sell any products using their images. In the nature of a Kit and Clowder image being used, I am ok if you want to sell your class pieces, however please do not use the colouring or class composition for any formal competitions or to be reproduced digitally for selling. In the nature that the work is being shared online, please credit Kit and Clowder Colouring Classes if you use any part of my intellectual property (eg. my blends/scenes/colouring etc.) as inspiration. As Kit and Clowder is based in Australia, we follow the law on Australia Consumer Standards for Services. Given the nature of digital products, we do not offer returns or exchanges as once you are sent the class this does come with lifetime access and cannot be returned. Any download issues can be addressed by contacting me directly at alyce@kitandclowder.com We are not required to provide a refund if you change your mind about the services you asked for. Please make sure to read through the class description to ensure you clearly understand what is being offered and included with your class package. If the problem is not major, we will endeavour to help and fix this problem within a reasonable timeframe.
